How to take Didrex
Follow the directions for using Didrex provided by your doctor. Take Didrex about 30 minutes before a meal. Take your last dose of the day at least 4 to 6 hours before bedtime. If you are taking Didrex 1 time a day, take your dose in the morning.
Didrex Side Effects
Side effects associated with Didrex, that may go away during treatment, include restlessness, nervousness, difficulty sleeping, or dry mouth. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
Contraindications
DIDREX is contraindicated in patients with advanced arteriosclerosis, symptomatic cardiovascular disease, moderate to severe hypertension, hyper-thyroidism, known hypersensitivity or idiosyncrasy to sympathomimetic amines, and glaucoma. Benzphetamine should not be given to patients who are in an agitated state or who have a history of drug abuse.
